USER
I want to design an environment where people can be at ease and where they get inspired. Therefore, I sincerely believe that the main focus should be on the user. Not only people that use it today, but also those who will be here in the future. That is why I focus on creating a sustainable and user friendly building that is affecting our earth as little as possible.
SIMPLICITY
I think that a design should be simple and clear, both in detail as in its entirety, so that it is easily understood by its users. Furthermore, I believe that simplicity enhances the beauty of a design. That is why I create strong and simple concepts, that are elaborated further with plain materials like wood or concrete.

TECHNICAL APPROACH
My designs are characterized by their innovative technical approaches that are realistic and make-able and make my buildings more environmental friendly. To make sure that these technical approaches can work, I always do a technical work-out of my designs.

RESEARCH leading to INTEGRATED DESIGN
For me, one of the most important parts of the design process is research. I want to take into account as much of the context as possible. This makes that my designs are better implemented in its surroundings and my design and its context are more coherent and integrated.

CRAFTING
In my studies, I used my pensil and paper or modelling with foam to come up with creative ideas. In my opinion, this has given me more freedom in my design. Also, I am visually oriented, so I am used to explain my design with clear sketches. I have experienced that my presentations and posters become very clear and don’t need extra explanation.
